Beginners
Introduction to belly dancing, warm up and cool down techniques, correct belly dance posture, a breakdown of basic belly dance movements and shapes (hips only) as well as learning the shimmy (hips only) body rolls & flexability.
Beginners Plus
Now that you have learnt the breakdown of basic belly dance movements aswell as basic shapes in the lower body. In beginners plus you will start master the correct shape of each move. Hip circles, figure 8, maya's & belly rolls. Also in Beginners Plus you are introduced to upper body movements, starting with the basic shape of chest circles, head slides, figure 8, maya, chest pops & drops. You will also learn to shimmy with your upper body, flexability, back bends, splits, floor work and more.
Intermediate 1
In the previous levels you have learnt the basic movements in your lower & upper body, in Intermediate 1 you will start to combine upper and lower body movements. you will also start to combine upper and lower shimmy, travelling, undulations & back bends. Briefly starting on arms (serpentine), hands, isolations, layering, veil & basic drumming technique.
Intermediate 2
With the moves starting to sink in, you will always be revising and using what you have learnt so far, included in this level is, detailed arm and hand movements, illusion, isolations, layering, impovisation, choreography, veil, combinations & more detailed drumming technique.
Advance
Advance is more demanding than all the previous classes, its all levels combind together, as well as more complex choreography, improvisation & drumming.
Advance Plus
Advance plus is for students who want to continue improving their belly dancing, learn to belly dance at performance level and do solo routines.
Dance routines are choreographed for every two levels. |
